Introducing Us to You

Some People

There are a lot of people involved in the life and ministry of the various Churches. We believe in everyone being able to use their various gifts and abilities as we all share in the ministry of the people of God. However we thought you might like to have a picture in your mind of those you might see most often leading on a Sunday or other main occasions

David Owen: Rector

David is Rector of the Chet Valley Benefice. He came here in April 2014, with a church background in both rural and small town ministry. He enjoys working with others in the local churches, and also being part of the community. He is married to Nina and they have one son. David’s interests include photography, travel (especially by train) and following the fortunes of his favourite football and rugby teams.

Louise Morrissey - Methodist Minister

I was born in Nottingham and have been a Methodist minister since 1999 serving also as a

hospital chaplain.  I have been in the Lowestoft and East Suffolk Methodist circuit since August

2017 when my main claim to fame was breaking my leg on the day I arrived!  Now I am

recovered I am enjoying the beautiful Suffolk countryside and getting to know people here.  I am

mum of three grown up children and Nanny to three grandchildren and share my home with

Jezebel (dog) and St. Hilda of Whitby (tortoise).

The above form part of a leadership team who, in agreement with the various PCCs, help to formulate the ways in which the vision and direction of the Christian community in the Chet Valley can grow and be a powerful expression of God's Kingdom in this area.
