FAQ's

Sometimes  there are questions in the back of our minds that put us off stepping out and exploring the Christian Faith, or just heading to the local Church some Sunday. Hopefully this page will help you.

How long is the service?

Most of our services are an hour in length. Sometimes on special occassions they are one hour and 15mins.

How will I know what to do?

Well, whoever is leading always guides our time together,  so you can follow their leading, page numbers etc. However our services are fairly relaxed. We don't test anyone, so there is no such thing as doing the wrong thing ... except throwing something at the leader ... not good!

What should I wear?

Whatever you are most comfortable in. Church gatherings are pretty informal affairs nowadays, so wear whatever you want.

Is there a lot of singing?

We do sing hymns. At present they are a mixture of traditional, and contemporary. Depending on the service, there may be a mixture of old and new songs, some music will be played on an organ or a guitar, and maybe even some songs played through an ipod!

Do I have to read or pray anything out loud?

Not on your own, but if you would like to join in the words of written prayers on any sheet you may be given, then you are welcome to do that.

Do I have to give money

You do not have to give anything unless you would like to. What happens is that, each week people who are part of the congregation like to contribute towards the work of the Church in the area. Some of our regular congregation, as a part of expressing their Christian committment, have decided to set up a direct debit and contribute that way on a monthly basis. However none of this is set in stone, so you simply give if you wish.
